How to plan a pamper party
Whether it's a hen do, a birthday or a baby shower, a pamper party is easy to organise with a little planning.
A pamper party is one of the most relaxing ways to celebrate. Instead of a loud night out, you and your favourite people get time together, beautiful treatments and plenty of chances for photos. Pamper parties are popular for hen dos, birthdays, baby showers and catch-ups with friends. With a little planning they’re easy to organise, and everyone leaves feeling great. Here’s how to plan one from start to finish.
Decide on the occasion and the mood
Start by thinking about who the party is for and how you’d like it to feel.
- Hen parties often mix relaxation with a little glamour: nails and lashes for the big day, plus massages to unwind.
- Birthdays can be anything from a calm afternoon of facials to a lively group manicure session.
- Baby showers call for gentle, pregnancy-friendly treatments for the mum-to-be and her guests.
- Friends’ get-togethers are perfect for a simple menu of short treatments and plenty of time to chat.
Knowing the mood helps you choose treatments and timings that suit the group.
Pick a date early
Popular weekend dates book up quickly, especially in spring and summer and in the run-up to Christmas. Once you have a rough date and an idea of numbers, send us a WhatsApp message. We’ll let you know what’s possible for your group and suggest options.
Get a headcount
The number of guests affects how long the party takes and which treatments work. Smaller groups can usually enjoy longer treatments. Larger groups tend to work best with shorter treatments, so more people are pampered in the same time. Collect a rough headcount early, then confirm closer to the date.
Choose the treatments
Short, crowd-pleasing treatments are the secret to a smooth pamper party. Popular choices include:
- Mini facials: a quick cleanse, mask and moisturise that leaves skin glowing.
- Back, neck and shoulder massage: around 30 minutes of pure relaxation.
- Manicures and polish refreshes: see our nails page for options, including long-lasting gel.
- Lash and brow tints: a great pre-wedding or holiday treat. A patch test is needed at least 48 hours beforehand, so plan ahead. Find out more on our lashes and brows page.
It’s fine for everyone to choose something different. Ask guests for their choices in advance and share the list when you book, so the timings can be planned properly. Our pamper parties page has more ideas.
Think about your guests
A little thought goes a long way.
- Pregnancy: some treatments, including certain massages and peels, need adapting during pregnancy. Mention it when you book.
- Allergies and sensitive skin: let us know about any allergies so suitable products can be used.
- First-timers: some guests may never have had a treatment before. A relaxed, simple menu helps everyone feel comfortable.
- Budget: decide early whether you’re treating everyone, or whether guests will pay for their own treatments, and let them know in the invitation.
Plan the timings
Allow enough time for every guest to have their treatment without rushing. Leave gaps between treatments for drinks, nibbles and photos. Those moments are what turn an appointment into a party. A typical pamper party for a small group might last two to three hours.
Add the finishing touches
Small details make the day feel special:
- Matching robes or slippers for photos
- A playlist everyone will enjoy
- Non-alcoholic drinks for the mum-to-be or anyone driving
- A group photo moment once everyone’s nails are done
A sample afternoon
Here’s how a relaxed pamper party for six friends might run:
- Arrive and settle in. Welcome drinks while everyone chooses their treatments.
- First round of treatments. Half the group has mini facials or massages while the others have their nails done.
- Break for drinks and snacks. A chance to catch up, open presents or take photos.
- Second round. The groups swap, so everyone enjoys both treatments.
- Finishing touches. Polish dries, final photos are taken and everyone heads home relaxed.
Common questions
Can guests arrive at different times? Usually, yes. Staggered arrivals can even make timings easier for larger groups. Just mention it when you book.
Can we bring our own food and drinks? Ask when you enquire, as this depends on the venue.
Is there a minimum group size? It depends on the date and the treatments chosen. Tell us your numbers and we’ll let you know what works.
